Scope

As a Sr. User Experience Designer at Brightway you have an exciting opportunity to join our growing UX organization working on experiences for insurance agents, customer service advisors, and Brightway customers. Here at Brightway we are expanding our digital capabilities and maturing our design culture to drive growth and facilitate exceptional experiences for all.

We are seeking a talented, highly motivated, and technically excellent user experience designer to join our product team.

Job Responsibilities

• Work hand-in-hand with product managers, front- and back-end engineers, subject matter experts as well as other functions to create top-notch experiences for Brightway agents, advisors, and customers.
• Collaborate with other designers and researchers.
• Own the UX design process: from ideation to implementation and beyond.
• Create relevant artifacts such as storyboards, mockups, prototypes, specs, etc.
• Work with end users on evaluating and improving your ideas.
• Measure the impact of your design decisions on user behavior and outcomes.
• Promote human-centered design thinking throughout Brightway.

Skills, Licenses, Certifications

• Deep understanding of HCD processes, methods, and best practices.
• Experience with common prototyping tools (e.g. Figma.)
• Familiarity & commitment to designing for accessibility.
• Interest in driving consistency through design systems.
• Familiarity with common qualitative UX research methods.
• Experience working with engineers and product managers.
• A portfolio showcasing your prior work.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• At least 3 years or prior experience in a similar role.
• Have experience in insurance technology or designing a CRM.
• Are familiar with and enthusiastic about Lean and Agile practices.
• Have experience with atomic design and Figma-based design systems (components, tokens, dev mode, etc).
• Have experience collaborating in modern tools like Miro, Notion, Slack, etc.
