Scope

Brightway Insurance is seeking an entry-level UX Writer / Conversational UX Designer to craft intuitive, human-centered content and dialogue across our customer-facing experiences. From AI-powered voice and SMS bots to web chat, email notifications, and customer portal copy, you’ll shape how our brand speaks at every touchpoint.

You’ll work alongside UX designers, marketing, and engineers in cross-functional teams to help shape the voice design and content strategy for key omni-channel programs, ensuring consistency and clarity across experiences. This is a hands-on, entry-level role for someone who is curious, proactive, loves solving problems with words, and excited to grow into the field of conversational UX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design conversational flows and content for AI-driven bots (voice, SMS, chat), aligning with user needs and business goals

  • Evaluating the quality of conversations with interfaces driven by generative AI

  • Working closely with engineers and advising on AI system prompts

  • Write and refine microcopy for Brightway’s customer portal, notifications, emails, and other digital interfaces

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, marketing, and legal to?

  • ensure accurate, on-brand content

  • Own and maintain voice and tone guidelines to support scalable, consistent messaging

  • Test, learn, and iterate on content based on user feedback and performance metrics

  • Proactively identify content gaps and opportunities to improve the end-to-end customer experience

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in UX writing, content design, copywriting, customer communications, or a related field

  • Portfolio or samples that show how you write clearly and empathetically for digital products or users

  • Familiarity with UX principles, user-centered design, or accessibility (even if informal or self-taught)

  • Interest in designing for voice, chat, or AI-powered experiences — no prior experience required, just a desire to grow

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with excellent attention to detail

Bonus (but not required):

  • Coursework, self-study, or projects in conversation design or AI interfaces

  • Experience using tools like Figma, Miro, or chatbot platforms
